Sometimes creating a personal profile is not about recounting one’s history or demonstrating one’s skill. With Joe Dihl, the idea was to capture his essence. He is a “salt-of-the-Earth” waterman with a heart of gold and skill of a veteran craftsman. Unassuming and blind to his own talent, the last thing his video profile should do is “brag.” We kept it real, using only Joe’s own voice, natural sound, still photography, and simple video sequences. We let him tell his own story, and this left you wanting to hang out in his workshop to hear even more.
